I gave this app 5 stars because I constantly use it. Simple, easy to switch between dictionary and thesaurus. I dont use the extra features like speech, rhyming, or translation. But I would like to see antonyms added for the next update. The large app-size is a bummer, but thats a small space to pay for a dictionary that includes every word Ive looked up so far.

I do not this app has improved so much. I have not use it since first version. Now, I just saw update and give a try. wow it has everything. Great value for such price.

Bought this for the voice pronunciation. Doesnt work great. Dictionary itself is inferior to the free one in several areas. Liking this less and less as I use it. The free Dictionaire is much better.

They said Japanese translation... But a lot of them are Chinese .. Mix up with Japanese ... Need to fix them Otherwise good app !!

I got this app in order to read a book with a lot of difficult words. There has been 1 word out of about 30 at least, that it hasnt been able to identify. Great UI, but I suggest making the "more" tab at the bottom customizable like Apple did the iPod app. Really worth it!

I did not regret getting this app and nothing is rong with it.I know you will like it too,and it will be worth the money.so you should get this app too because you dont even need wi fi for the definition so that is what makes this app even better....you should get it.

I like the fact that you can shake the device to pick up words at random to learn their meanings. Great way to enhance ones vocabulary.

I got it when it was free. It is better than the other dictionary applications. Dont think I would have paid eight dollars for it, however.

This is an excellent app. Does everything you would expect of a dictionary and then some more. Having used it briefly on a friends phone, I bought it despite reading some negative reviews complaining about speed, size and what not. Frankly I cant understand what they are talking about. Perhaps the creators of competing dictionaries? If you need a reasonably priced dictionary - this is the one to go for.

I have been using this dictionary since its inception and with each update it has gotten better.   I also downloaded two other dictionary apps, but they were quickly relegated  to the dictionary dust bin.  This one is faster, more features and just more intuitive to use.  All in all, this one is quite  superior.   It is a true bargain.  

I love this app. Its easy to use, its gotten much faster with the updates, and its extremely useful. It is one of my favorite apps in the app store!

it does not require any internet connection so it can be helpful anywhere you go. just think about it a dictionary book coast anywhere from five to twenty dollars if you just want a general dictionary.....this virtual electronic dictionary is faster, easier, more efficient, and cheaper than getting an actual book. so all in all its a bargain when you think about it. my only complains/ concerns would be the icon....it doesnt look too attractive on the home screen. i liked the first icon they had better. also, the interface is just a little plain. this a VERY minor preference issue i had with the app. its nothing to major to the point where nobody should buy this app. its just an opinion of mine to say that maybe the colors could be modified in place of having just the dull, white backround. black with white letter would be cool!

It is a wonderful dictionary app- The thesaurus is very useful. I have used the app to go on word journeys.

I dont use it that much but Im glad I got it when its free its a good dictionary but can u add the original icon back because it looked really good on my home screen and the new one is kinda ugly...

A very clunky interface. Gets the job done, but isnt as easy as it should be.

This app was sent to my phone - I did not ask for it. It says "free" on my phone but when I try to update it on my phone it says over 10mb, download from the app store, but then in the app store it has $2.99 as a price. If anybody else has this problem please write a one star review. Thanks

comes in handy everyday, what with all the disputes over dumb stuff and definitions needed every day at lunch. the pronunciations of the words is dumb at times but still, awesome app.

Language Option, great App

Original now does not work properly now and to get the 3.0 update you have to pay more. None of my other apps did this.
