Dictionary App Reviews

The latest illustrated version is chock full of unnecessary things. Prior release was simple and to the point - it gave you the definition of words. It was in fact a dictionary. No idea why it HAS to be anything else?

A long time ago, I thought this app was just ok but since then, its improved a lot! There are so many new things for it now than when it first came out. The new icon looks better too and is less boring. Thank you for this great app, I always use it. By the way I got this app back when it was free ;). Updated Review: It has been working fine with me. No problems encountered yet! It still loads real quick even with the illustrations set on(but can be turned off in settings).

If it doesnt have the word in its dictionary, it will neither suggest it or look it up on web through spell check

- you can save words youve looked up - has a thesaurus AND rhyming dictionary - so much great detail AWESOME

Can you add an export or email bookmarked words option? App is great besides, thanks!!

This dictionary is definetely the best one availinle in the app store! (I got it for free on black friday, and probobly would not have Payed the $5 but Im telling you now, GET IT!!!!!!!)

Okay, Im going to start off by saying that its not bad. But also, it is definately not good. It has no roots, awful pronunciation, not many examples. It seems like the developers focused more on creating new features rather then perfect the ones they had

One of the better dictionary apps with some really nice features. I especially like the ability to use it as a spell-checker, which I use it most often for. But once and awhile, I look up a known word and it is missing. The main problem, however, is that if you search for a letter that is not considered a word (like x, y, or z), it crashes the app. Happens every time.

It is alright, but fix the pronunciation!!!!!! The Pronunciation is Horrible!!! I paid for this, so I deserve something good!

Ive had this app for quite a while now, and I love it!!!

I have tried almost every Dictionary for the iPhone and this is by FAR the best. The bookmarking system is top notch, the auto-guess system for when you misspell a word is great and it even has a thesaurus with hyperlink capabilities so you can immediately jump to any word. Bottom line: buy this app.

OK they got my money and they are still hiding. No way to find out an answer to a question. No known support or contact avenue. No instructions. Dont really know if I like it yet. Save your money unless you hear other wise from me.

please update for iPhone 4. thats it. its great. buy it.

This apps functions are great but it needs support for the retina display, the ability to customize the toolbar like you can do in the iPod and Remote apps, and needs the spell check/suggestions to appear and update while your entering a word. This last change would make the app much faster to use.

wrong pronunciations; cant believe i paid for this when there was a free one which is so much better

Great app! Fantastic service! My only gripe is no Landscape mode... PLEASE add this feature for 

iPad version? Hoping this app goes universal...
